Visiting ARC

Choosing the right product and material for your project can be a daunting task at the best of times, and the more so when choosing natural stone. The beauty and challenge with natural stone is that it is just that: natural. With hundreds different colors (types of stone) to choose from, many quite similar to each other, doing a bit of preparation before you come will greatly ease the process and help you select just the right stone for your project. This section is meant to aid that goal, through giving you some useful information about the process.

The stone fabricator, the company qualified to cut, finish and install natural stone products, is the primary contact in this process, and any questions regarding pricing and quantity needed should be discussed with them.

Before coming to Arc

Each type of stone has different characteristics and you will want to find out which one is right for you. Ask your fabricator if he can suggest some types of stones that will best accommodate your project’s budget. Each fabricator operates with a different range of prices on specific materials, not only different levels for the same kind of stone, but also a different number of levels (ie, High/Medium/Low, A/B/C/D/E etc). We can only provide general idea about pricing.

When making your final selection, consut with your fabricator about how many slabs you will need.

During your visit

We welcome you to our showroom and warehouse to see our wide selection of natural stones. As you arrive, we will be pleased to walk you through our facilities, showing you our stocked selection, explaining the general terms you need to know when looking. We are available during and after you visit for assistance. If you have questions, please feel free to contact our team at any time.

  • As previously mentioned, stones are a product of nature.  Variations occur in the form of color, veining, spotting, and patterning in every stone material. No two stones slabs will ever be the same.
  • Stone is quarried in blocks, and then these blocks are sliced into slabs. All slabs from the same block are polished, bundled and shipped together. This way, the maximum similarity and matching possibilities will occur for slabs from the same block.
  • We understand the complexity of the subject and this is why Arc Granite & Marble provides a multi skilled team including Designer and Mining Engineer to assist you in your natural stone selection experience.
  • As required, we will move slabs on weekdays. We try to limit the time material is handled due to the stress it places on the material and equipment. However we will try to accommodate you as required. Please be aware that we do not move slabs on Saturdays.

Safety

To avoid possible accidents or injury, please review the following before viewing any material in our showroom.

  • Do not attempt to move or lean slabs at any time.
  • We require special attention for our customers when forklifts, cranes, containers or delivery trucks are in use in the vicinity.
  • Do not walk between the slabs or stand in a position that you cannot be easily seen by our equipment operators.
  • Watch your step for trip and fall hazards at all times.
  • Although we welcome families to choose together stones for their projects, we kindly ask, when children are present they are secured in a stroller or held by hand at all times.

Samples

We can only provide samples of materials we have samples cut from. Such samples are provided by our production plants overseas, and as such, we are dependant upon their availability. We will be happy to provide you with pictures of the material, in print or by email when stones samples are not available.

However, keep in mind that a partial small piece of a detailed item rarely represents the entire piece. The same way, please be aware that pictures of natural stone may or may not reflect the true color of the stone and as such, you should not make your final decision on any material based on pictures alone. The best way to select your stone is to visit our warehouse.

After visiting Arc

If you have already your fabricator choice, contact them immediately to convey your findings and deciding about the final details of your project. We will be happy to talk to your fabricator at any time to answer any questions that he may have. We will provide free quotes and all the information about regarding our stones to your fabricator. Only your fabricator will be able to give you a quote for your project.

Once you have made your selection at Arc, the fabricator will contact us and arrange for delivery or pickup as required. If you have reserved specific slabs during your visit, exactly these slabs will be shipped to your fabricator.

THANK YOU AND ENJOY YOUR NATURAL STONE EXPERIENCE!
